JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a Parts Catalog Author who will be responsible for developing and managing detailed parts information for our automotive, agricultural, and construction equipment portfolios.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise and a passion for creating clear, accurate documentation that supports dealers, technicians, and customers worldwide.

This role bridges the gap between engineering design and service operations by ensuring that every part is cataloged and communicated effectively.

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

Create and update illustrated parts catalogs across multiple product lines.

Analyze engineering drawings, CAD data, and BOMs to identify and structure part information.

Partner with engineering, manufacturing, and field service teams to confirm catalog accuracy.

Keep catalogs up to date with design revisions, service advisories, and customer feedback.

Deliver content that complies with company standards and global regulations.

Optimize content for digital publishing platforms to ensure ease of navigation and search.

Work with localization teams to prepare catalogs for international markets.

Suggest and implement improvements in cataloging processes and digital tools.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Required

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Automotive / Agricultural Engineering, Technical Writing, or related field.

2–5 years of relevant experience in parts cataloging, technical publications, or product support.

Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.

Hands‑on experience with PLM systems (Teamcenter, Windchill), CAD applications, and illustration tools.

Understanding of structured authoring (XML / SGML) and content management systems.

Strong attention to detail, organizational abilities, and communication skills.

Nice to Have

Background in interactive electronic parts catalogs (IEPC) or digital documentation systems.

Familiarity with repair / service workflows in automotive, agricultural, or construction industries.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, exploded views, and schematics.

Awareness of international cataloging standards such as SAE J2008 and ISO.
