About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Lead Imaging Technologist to join our hospital-based Imaging Services department in Houston, TX. This is a leadership and clinical expert role responsible for delivering and managing comprehensive patient care across multiple imaging modalities and specialties. As the Lead Technologist, you will play a key role in operations coordination, professional leadership, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety within the department.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert imaging care to patients from multiple services and specialties, including those with complex diagnoses
- Plan, coordinate, and direct all activities between diagnostic testing and clinical teams to ensure rapid patient flow and positive outcomes
- Monitor and ensure departmental quality standards, equipment maintenance, and supply readiness
- Mentor, coach, and provide professional leadership to technologists and staff
- Develop, implement, and uphold evidence-based practice procedures, policies, and standards of care
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, and ongoing education for imaging staff
- Act as a clinical and operational resource for staff, physicians, and patients
- Lead quality and performance improvement initiatives, and represent the department in hospital committees
- Promote a culture of safety, personalized care, and teamwork
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic TechnologyCertified in Basic or Advanced Life SupportActive Texas Medical Board license (MRT or MRA) and ARRT certification for your specialty (Radiology, CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Mammography, or Ultrasound)At least 5 years of imaging technologist experience in an acute hospital settingDemonstrated excellence in technical skills and patient care across all ages and conditionsStrong leadership, communication, and mentoring abilitiesAbility to lift / maneuver patients as requiredWhy Join Us?
