Responsibilities

• Work closely with internal departments, such as terminal and plant personnel, along with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable to resolve shipping, billing, and freight issues as needed.
• Communicate with customers and carriers to obtain the details of deliveries to various job sites.
• Obtain and resolve quotes and assist with freight increases.
• Review freight discrepancies and accessorial charges from freight companies.
• Work with Sales Team on Customer Pricing Requests and assist in pricing administration.
• Assist in price announcements and confirmation letters to customers.
• Assist in Forecast and Budget development.
• Supply sales reports and data as needed.
• Assist with projects as needed

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Business is preferred; High school diploma or equivalent is required
• 3-5 years experience in a customer service related role

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with attention to conveying accurate and appropriate information

• Strong interpersonal skills

• Ability to build and maintain professional and client relationships

• Good organizational and follow-through skills, as well as time management skills

• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other desktop programs; experience with bill of lading systems, ERP system (Oracle) and sales BI reporting tools (BOARD) a plus
