Service Engineer (Travel)

To support this growth, our client seeks Customer Service Engineers to join their dynamic team.

PRIMARY DUTIES :

In this role, responsibilities include :

  • Conducting startup, commissioning, service, and preventive maintenance on our client's equipment, including static transfer switches, power distribution units, and remote power panels.
  • Providing on-site customer support as well as assistance via email and phone.
  • Maintaining detailed service records in the company's system.
  • Offering emergency response for critical incidents.
  • Adhering to scheduled time slots for our client's 24 / 7 incident response hotline.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & EDUCATION :

  • Essential experience in servicing electric power systems.
  • Proficiency in electrical and electronic troubleshooting.
  • Ability to interpret diagrams and schematics.
  • Familiarity with programming printed circuit boards using PC-based software.
  • Strong safety awareness and knowledge of electrical PPE.
  • Preferred qualifications include an associate degree in an electrical field or relevant electronics / electrical training from military service.
  • Clean driving record and US Citizenship or C1 Permanent Resident Alien status are required.

TRAINING AND TRAVEL :

  • Training will take place at our client's headquarters in Aurora, Ohio.
  • Field service assignments will involve travel to customer sites across the US and Canada.
  • Weekend or holiday work may be required at times.
