Job description

Title :

  • Web Content Manager Location : Washington, DC (On-Site) Travel : Travel beyond the minimum local commuting area of 50 miles from the primary place of performance will be required Clearance : Current Public Trust or the ability to obtain one
  • This position is contingent on contract award
  • Key Responsibilities : Monitor, review and respond to web communications services requests.
  • Set up, change or remove web content manager permissions.
  • Test, monitor, and optimize content to maximize engagement and demand.
  • Identify and resolve accessibility issues.
  • Support efforts to conduct web site audits to develop and existing map.
  • Identify existing pages that are obsolete and archive / unpublish them.
  • Serve as back up support for emerging leadership web publications.
  • Help create redirects for new web pages.
  • Identify areas of modernization and / or process improvement related to web design and migration.
  • Develop and manage content on SharePoint.
  • Review website content, provide monthly user data reports, and recommend website updates, revisions, and archiving outdated web content related to improving user experience.
  • Develop new or update existing content.
  • This includes developing or updating content that incorporates links to relevant content from across USCG websites, based on metadata and subject matter.
  • Design and implement subsites / microsites, webpages, and other features.
  • Recommend the development of and provide ongoing support for search engine optimization.
  • Ensure compliance with Section 508 and improve the accessibility of content.

Qualifications :

  • A Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, media, or related field., and At least four (4) years of relevant experience, or At least two (2) years of experience with a Master’s degree or higher in business, communications, media, or related field.
  • Ability to write content and edit web pages using plain language.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.
