Hours - This is a Monday through Friday position with expected hours to last from 9am-6pm. Given the nature of the events and catering industry, you may be asked to work on weekends or outside of normal business hours.
The Sales & Operations Coordinator supports the seamless sale and execution of Purslane’s full service and drop-off catering events. With a focus on administrative and tactical support for incoming and outbound sales, this role ensures that event details are accurately communicated, logistics are organized, and clients experience exceptional service from inquiry through event completion.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You’ll balance administrative precision with creative problem-solving and share our commitment to hospitality and sustainability.
Sales Administrative Support
- Log new event leads into Tripleseat.
- Respond to and follow up on incoming leads, ensuring timely and professional communication standards are maintained.
- Assist with proposal creation and revisions.
- Answer main line phone calls and provide assistance to callers.
- Maintain detailed client database.
- Participate in client discovery and follow-up calls and site visits, record notes and next steps.
- Reconcile post-event details including invoices, feedback, and expenses.
Operations Support
Process invoices and onboard vendors.Maintain Certificate of Insurance (COI) and other compliance documentation for multiple venues.Assist with maintaining organized inventory and event materials.Support the on-site execution of select events, ensuring Purslane’s standards of excellence are met (set up, coordination of supplies, special client requests, etc.)Execute any special projects as assigned by the Chief Operations Officer or Director of Operations, including but not limited to cost-savings opportunities, documentation, data analysis, systems setup, etc.General

1–3 years of experience in catering, events, or hospitality operations.Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.Excellent written and verbal communication.Ability to multitask and adapt in a dynamic environment.Proficiency in Google Workspace and CRM / event software (TripleSeat, Caterease, or similar).Genuine enthusiasm for food, sustainability, and exceptional hospitality.The above duties may adjust and expand based upon company needs and development.
