Senior Accountant

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Senior Accountant will play a key role in supporting the finance and accounting function, bringing a solid foundation in healthcare financial accounting and operations, preferably within a medical laboratory or broader healthcare setting. Experience with grant accounting and familiarity with federal funding requirements (e.g., OMB Uniform Guidance) is highly desirable.

This role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance, and contributing to the overall efficiency of financial operations. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver with strong knowledge of GAAP and understanding of the financial processes unique to healthcare, including payer reimbursement workflows. As part of a dynamic, high-growth, organization, the Senior Accountant will also support various ad hoc projects and special requests as the company continues to scale.

Job Responsibilities :

• Healthcare Revenue Accounting & Reporting :

Ensure accuracy of general ledger entries related to healthcare transactions such as billing revenue recognition and payments.

Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.

Analyze financial variances and trends across projects and departments.

Identify and implement enhancements to accounting policies, procedures and workflows.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience :

Experience with general ledger migrations or system implementations is a plus
