Position : Industrial Maintenance Technician

Pay Rate : $25.00 - $36.00 / hourly (Depending on Experience)

Location : Modesto, CA

Work Schedule : Specific shift assigned by Management typical 8-hour days and 5 days per week. Weekend and Holiday work may be required.

Job Description :

Hedy Holmes Staffing is looking for an Industrial Electrician who will be responsible for electrical installations, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of production and facilities equipment.

Industrial Maintenance Technician and Responsibilities :

• Diagnose, analyze, and repair equipment to ensure product quality and optimal production.
• Perform preventative maintenance and predictive maintenance to maintain equipment integrity and runtime efficiency.
• Install electrical conduit using various bends to get the conduit from point A to point B, including pulling and terminating wiring.
• Participate in the upgrade of production lines with new equipment / technology.
• Comply with plant Safe Quality Food (SQF), HACCP, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), safety, and audit standards.
• Document all work planned and unplanned, using Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Maintain continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Additional Industrial Maintenance Technician Responsibilities :

• Perform general shop housekeeping duties.
• May perform additional responsibilities directed by management.
• Promote and follow company policies and procedures.
• Recognize the importance of safety in the workplace, follow safety rules, practice safe work habits, utilize appropriate safety equipment and report unsafe conditions to the appropriate administrator.
Education :
• Required :
• Required :
• High School Diploma or GED.
• 5+ years’ experience in the industrial electrical, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Preferred :
• Vocational, Associate’s (AA), or Bachelor’s Degree (BS) from accredited college or university.
• Experience in a technical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 7+ years’ experience in the industrial electrical, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Qualifications / Requirements :

• Language requirements :
• Ability to speak effectively and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, blueprints, schematic, or schedule form.
• Ability to write correspondence and effectively present information in one-on-one situations to other associates within the facility.
• Bilingual Spanish and English (preferred).
• Knowledge and skill requirements :
• knowledgeable of PLC programs, AC / DC circuits, motor control systems and control networks for the purpose of maintenance, testing and repairs.
• Basic computer skills and use of CMMS.
• Understanding and diligent application of lockout (LOTO) and other safety protocols.
• Possess an analytical mind and ability to understand and demonstrate analytical principles.
• Understanding of root cause analysis and corrective / preventative actions.
• Skilled in the safe and proper use of hand and power tools, electrical test equipment and related tools and instruments necessary to perform the job.
• Ability to work with multi-functional teams and can interact positively with others.
• Self-directed with the ability to be resourceful, plan and organize work with minimal supervision.
