Job description

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney in Duluth, GA, to represent individuals injured due to negligence, focusing on motor vehicle accidents, wrongful death, premises liability, and similar personal injury claims. The role involves developing litigation skills under the mentorship of senior attorneys and contributing to client and firm success.

Duties

Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis.
Draft legal memoranda, briefs, and internal opinions.
Maintain regular communication with clients and participate in meetings.
Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
Support all phases of litigation from discovery to trial.
Manage case timelines, deadlines, and court filings.
Build and maintain client relationships.
Attend CLEs and legal seminars for professional development.
Engage in team meetings and contribute to firm initiatives.
Participate in networking and community engagement activities.

Requirements

1-5 years of experience in personal injury law or related practice.

Solid understanding of legal procedures and court rules.

Education

JD from an accredited law school required.

Certifications

Licensed to practice in the relevant state(s); additional admissions are a plus.

Skills

Excellent legal writing and verbal communication.

Proficient in legal research and use of legal research platforms.
