Registered Resource Nurse (RN)

The Registered Resource Nurse (RN) reports directly to the Director of Nursing and is responsible for assisting in policies, protocol review, updates, and coverage for clinical site areas to ensure the highest standards of patient care. The Resource Nurse will provide support for TRUECARE Community Engagement department through community screenings, vaccinations, and health education. In addition, the Resource Nurse will assist with Quality Assurance chart reviews in

adherence to NCQA guidelines and ensuring compliance with regulations such as Title XXII.

Duties & Responsibilities :

Nursing Functions : 25%

• Performs rounds on each nursing unit, continuously observing, assessing the quality of patient care, and identifying nursing educational needs. Escalates concerns about nursing skills, patient care, policies, processes, and equipment as appropriate.
• Assist in identifying training needs of medical assistant staff and nurses on an as needed basis and act as preceptor for medical assistants and / or nurses.
• Provide nursing staff coverage.
• Evaluate and monitor support staff on clinical skills competencies.
• Follow TrueCare policies and procedures for efficient department operations, reporting requirements and maintaining quality assurance, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
• Recognizes, evaluates, and responds to emergency or unusual situations in the organization, using nursing judgment to ensure needed medical care. Provides correct emergency intervention such as O2 therapy, IV access, medications, AED, CPR, guiding staff on direction and needs of emergency management.
• Administer ordered medications according to current health center protocols.
• Provide and participate nurse triage services to provide direct patient care within scope of license.
• Able to work independently on weekends or evenings when needed.

The pay range for this role is $45.07 - $62.15 on an hourly basis.
