Full Time Safety Specialist - Substation Construction
This position is responsible for the safety of all personnel and equipment involved in the construction of substations. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of power delivery, utility construction, and high voltages.
They will also have a proven track record of safety compliance in a construction environment.
Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement safety procedures for all substation construction activities.
- Inspect worksites for safety hazards and ensure that they are corrected.
- Train workers on safety procedures and ensure that they are following them.
- Investigate accidents and take steps to prevent them from happening again.
- Maintain records of all safety-related activities.
Qualifications :
- 2+ years of experience in substation construction.
- OSHA 500 / 510 certifications
- Strong understanding of power delivery, utility construction, and high voltages.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
