We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Permanent Paint Estimator to join our dynamic engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual with a solid background in commercial painting and waterproofing estimation, project management, and commercial paint sales.
The successful candidate will be responsible for creating accurate and competitive estimates for painting projects, and will play a crucial role in securing new business and maintaining client satisfaction.
Responsibilities :
- Analyze engineering drawings, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for painting and waterproofing projects.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to gather essential data for estimates.
- Prepare and submit detailed cost estimates, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to understand project requirements and provide accurate estimates.
- Maintain accurate records of all estimation documentation, updating as necessary.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients and suppliers to achieve profitable deals and mutual satisfaction.
- Develop strategies to enhance sales and meet sales targets.
- Monitor project progress, keeping track of any changes in scope, and adjusting estimates accordingly.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
Qualifications :
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial painting, with a focus on painting and waterproofing estimation.
- Proven experience as a Project Manager.
- Sales experience in the commercial paint industry is required.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of painting methods, materials, tools, and equipment.
- Exceptional analytical and mathematical skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Proficient with estimation software and other industry-related technology.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Must be a team player, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
