US- Maintenance Technician (Mid)

Maintenance Technician

Pay rate : $31 per hour

1st Shift : Monday to Friday -8am start time

Duration : One year

Location : Filer, ID

Position Overview :

We are seeking a motivated Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep of our facilities, machinery, and equipment used in Production and Field Operations. This role includes performing routine preventative maintenance, exterior groundskeeping, and light janitorial tasks. The ideal candidate works independently, demonstrates a strong work ethic, maintains a positive attitude, and prioritizes safety. This is a full-time position (40 hours / week) with the potential for flexible hours and seasonal overtime.

Major Duties and Responsibilities :

Perform minor repairs to buildings and light equipment, including replacing light bulbs, minor plumbing tasks, and maintenance of greenhouse irrigation and cooling systems. Major repairs are handled by licensed contractors.

Complete scheduled preventative maintenance tasks on time.

Conduct periodic inspections of company vehicles, maintain vehicle cleanliness, and coordinate maintenance through approved service outlets.

Perform routine groundskeeping duties such as mowing, edging, and weed control.

Complete parts and supply runs as needed.

Assist with troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns.

Load and unload truck shipments.

Handle assigned work orders and requests in a timely manner.

Use power and hand tools efficiently and safely; maintain tool cleanliness and condition.

Required Competencies :

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office and other relevant applications.

Effective problem-solving and time management abilities.

Safety-focused; ability to follow health, safety, and environmental guidelines.

Attention to detail.

Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.

Ability to operate and maintain standard farm equipment (tractors, planters, irrigation equipment) is a plus.

Position Requirements :

High school diploma or equivalent.

1 3 years of maintenance experience, preferably in manufacturing or agricultural settings.

Forklift experience (current or recent certification preferred).

Current, valid, unrestricted driver s license.

Ability to handle physical demands of the role, including standing, bending, pulling, pushing, climbing, and lifting 20 50 pounds regularly (team lifting for over 50 pounds).
