Manages daily transit operations within their geographical area. Recruits, selects, supervises and evaluates employees including disciplinary procedures Negotiates revenue contracts Monitors and manages county expense budgets including business evaluations Trains new drivers in operating procedures Meets with businesses and community leaders to develop new routes Schedules drivers and vehicles Develops, maintains, and reviews route manifests Completes federal and state reports Performs grant writing Organizes, schedules, and moderates city / county advisory committees Promotes services through public relations / marketing and assists with the community needs assessment Performs dispatch and driver duties Monitors program for federal and state rules / regulation compliance Transportation Manager I needed in Hermantown, MN to oversee Carlton, Hermantown and Floodwood.
