Behavioral Health Technician
Provides patients with education and support in relation to identified treatment issues. Assists in therapeutic interventions and monitoring the milieu for a safe environment. Provides direct patient care under the supervision of the registered nurse in accordance with hospital standards and policies.

Required :
Certifications - Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) - Within 60 days of hire or transfer.
Preferred :
Experience - 1+ years of Acute Experience; 1+ years of Behavior Health Experience Education - Bachelors degree in Behavioral Sciences
Physical Requirements : Very Heavy work - exerting over 25 pounds of force constantly (67-100% of the time), and / or more than 50 pounds frequently (34-66% of the time), and / or more than 100 pounds of force occasionally (up to 33% of the time), and / or more than 100 pounds of force seldomly to move objects. Possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids, or tissues. Requires the ability to work designated shift lengths (including 8 and 12 hours), which may include night shifts or occasional irregular hours.
