People & Culture Operations Manager

Reporting to the Director of People & Culture, this role ensures that the operational backbone of People & Culture runs efficiently, accurately, and consistently across all employee lifecycle processes. This role oversees HR systems, compliance, employee lifecycle processes, and data management, while managing a small HR Operations team. The People & Culture Operations Manager plays a critical role in enabling a seamless, compliant, and engaging employee experience from hire to retire. As C&S grows, this role leads process improvements, streamlines workflows, enhances HR systems, and ensures efficient, scalable people operations that enable the People & Culture function to support the company's strategic goals.
The candidate selected for this role will have the ability to work onsite at a major C&S location with preference given to Syracuse, NY, where C&S is headquartered. This role is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement of up to 2 days remote / 3 days in office.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and improve core HR processes, including onboarding, offboarding, employment changes, compliance, and recordkeeping.
Oversee HRIS administration to maintain data integrity, accurate reporting, and ongoing system optimization.
Oversee compensation processes, including salary adjustments, merit increases, and equity reviews, ensuring accuracy, fairness, and compliance.
Provide oversight of onboarding and offboarding to ensure timely and accurate completion of documentation, system setup, and access changes.
Ensure adherence to employment laws and regulations across all states.
