Job descriptionMinimum of three (3) years experience operating a CNC milling machine Minimum of three (3) years CNC programming experience with multi-axis CNC machines Experience with MasterCAM Experience with CAD systems. CREO preferred Previous experience with product design for parts and tools preferred Ability to read, analyze and interpret drawings Familiar with GD & T, especially understanding and analyzing function and criticality of tolerances Understanding of engineering fundamentals, design tools, manufacturing processes, materials, and global quality standards Understanding of common industry specifications (material, coating, plating, etc.) Experience working in ISO 9001 quality systems in a manufacturing environment Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with a sense of urgency Proficiency with ANSYS (analysis / simulation) preferred Proficiency with ERP systems preferred Excellent verbal and written communication skills Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience High School Diploma or equivalent education required Associates Degree or Bachelors Degree in Engineering or other related field preferred Flexible Spending Account Dental plan insurance Vision plan insurance Short-term disability insurance Long-term disability insurance Life insurance 401(k) Generous paid holidays and vacation days Standardized bonus based on employee and company performance

Herrmann Ultrasonics is hiring for a Design Engineer!

Herrmann Ultrasonics develops and builds machines that join plastics, packaging materials, nonwovens and metals with ultrasonic vibrations. This technology is suitable in many industries, such as medical, electronics, food and automotive. Job Profile
Seeking a skilled and dynamic individual for a hybrid function in Tooling Design and Programming of CNC milling machines . CREO is used for the Design work and MasterCAM and WinMax for programming the CNC milling machines. This could be an entry level job into the Design world of industrial tools (sonotrodes) if you have machining experience like operating CNC milling machines and programming or modifying programs at the machines or using MasterCAM or similar. You have basic knowledge and understanding of CAD design tools. You will be developing and designing specialized tooling and fixtures for Ultrasonic welding applications. Detailed training in Ultrasonic welding and design requirements will be provided.
- Design and develop ultrasonic tooling and fixtures using CAD software (CREO)
- Create CNC milling machine programs using MasterCAM and WinMax
- Execute mechanical designs of customer requirements
- Plan and schedule changes
- Control project plans by reviewing design and specifications
- Communicate with internal and external customers to clarify drawings and CAD models
- Manage CAD library and project data base
