Willingness to float within scope to meet facility needs

Description :

This position is for a mixed acuity unit with medical surgical and telemetry patients.

Nurses should be prepared to care for up to five Med Surg patients.

The unit specializes in neurology and neurosurgery with a total of 48 beds.

Patient population includes strokes, aneurysms, seizures, spinal fusions, brain and spinal cord tumors, and other neurological conditions.

The ratios are 1 : 5 during the day and 1 : 6 at night, with night ratios possibly reaching 1 : 7 based on staffing.

Stepdown ratios are 1 : 3-4 for both days and nights.

Prior experience of 2 years is required, specifically from a large, urban hospital.

Travelers are expected to float as necessary among various units.

The facility is a 100% nicotine-free environment.

Weekends require 4 shifts out of 8 possible in a 4-week period.

Staffing teams include CNAs, care techs, and LPNs on some floors.

Travelers must work 2 of 3 major holidays.

Travelers must submit time off requests with their application, and only 2 weeks are permitted.

Scrubs are mandatory, with specific colors and logos required.

Facility operates under specific compliance rules.

All contracts must conclude on a Sunday.

This position demands adherence to a healthy work environment without nicotine.
