Capital City Gardens in Columbus, OH is currently seeking an experienced Unit Manager.
The primary purpose of your job position is to support the Director of Clinical Services in facilitating the day-to-day functions of the Nursing Services Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our facility, and as may be directed by the Administrator, the Medical Director, and/or the Director of Clinical Services, to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all time.
Duties:
-Manage the work activities of the assigned department(s) to include the RNs, LPNs, and STNAs.
-Served as patient/family advocate to facilitate patient care, communication and resolutions of problems and ethical dilemmas.
-Ensure accurate, effective and pertinent communication for all staff and shifts as well as through the chain of command.
-Assist DON with promoting positive employee relations. Demonstrates leadership style that encourages staff accountability.
-Provides direct care to residents, as needed to maintain clinical skills.
-Completes mandatory education and training in order to maintain organization and department specifics competencies and requirements. Maintains applicable certification/licensure.
-Other duties as assigned
