Facility : Emergency Department, Level 2 Trauma Center

Assignment Type : Travel Nursing – ER RN travel jobs

Start Date : September 5, 2025

End Date : December 5, 2025

Duration : 13-week contract

Shift : 12-hour nights (6 : 45 PM – 7 : 15 AM)

Hours per Week : 36

Unit Size : 101 beds

Patient Ratios : 4 : 1 (medical), up to 7 : 1 (ED behavioral holds)

Team : Techs, unit clerks, cardiac monitoring unit, internal processing area, triage

Technology : Baxter pumps, GE monitors, Cerner documentation system

Scheduling : Every other weekend; must meet department needs

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1530-$1640

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active RN license (North Carolina or compact state)

Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, including at least 1 year as an Emergency Room Registered Nurse

Experience in Level 2 trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume ED (100,000+ visits / year) preferred

Required certifications : ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS

ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire

Strong teamwork mentality and flexibility to float within all ED areas

Ability to coach and provide real-time feedback

Professionalism, respectful behavior, and commitment to excellent patient care

Navy scrubs required

ER RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care to diverse patient populations

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team in a fast-paced environment

Utilize advanced clinical equipment and Cerner documentation system

Float to all sections of the Emergency Department as needed

Maintain patient safety and satisfaction through AIDET and effective communication

Update patient boards and keep patients informed throughout their visit

Participate in department initiatives and uphold unit guidelines and policies
