Ready to shape the future at LISI Automotive? As a Metal Forging Setup Specialist, you will spearhead the setup and operation of our advanced forging machines, refining metal and plastic components into high-quality precision parts.

What You'll Do

• Kick-start threading machines to craft sample workpieces, diagnosing and fixing any machine mishaps along the way.
• Use keen measuring skills to ensure every part meets our exact specifications.
• Master blueprints and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) to prepare precise machine setups.
• Calibrate machine settings, syncing rams and adjusting machine timing for peak performance.
• Become adept at maintaining and replacing die parts to keep operations smooth.
• Operate forging machines to trim, straighten, and bend metals, producing top-tier forged products.
• Align and affix positioning tools and dies for optimized machine functioning.
• Keep cutting tools sharp and efficient using specialized grinders.
• Use expert hand tools to manage the installation and removal of dies, ensuring seamless forging processes.
• Guide metal wires through intricate die systems, forming precise die impressions.
• Share your expertise by training lower-classification operators.
• Utilize gages to monitor and improve production processes.
• Commit to routine preventive maintenance to extend the life of our machines.
• Integrate LEAP / 5S, HSE standards into daily operations.

Your Qualifications

What You Should Know

Fluency in equipment troubleshooting and mechanical skills is crucial. Setups for production runs are your forte, backed by excellent communication and shop math expertise.

Tools and Technology

Hone your skills with Cold Heading, Die Cast Machine (Cold Chamber), and Die Cast Machine (Hot Chamber).
