An exciting opportunity to join the leadership team at a high-end Italian Coastal restaurant in the heart of New Orleans. Our menu draws inspiration from the Amalfi Coast—light, ingredient-driven, and seafood-forward—with no red sauce in sight. We're seeking a talented Sous Chef who shares our passion for clean, elegant flavors and elevated service.

Sous Chef Requirements & Qualifications :
At least 3 years’ experience in fine dining or upscale kitchensDemonstrated ability to lead and manage a professional kitchen teamDeep knowledge of seafood preparation and coastal Italian techniquesServSafe certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)Comfortable working evenings, weekends, and holidaysMust Haves :
Execute and maintain consistency for a seafood-focused menu rooted in Italian coastal cuisineLead daily prep and nightly service with a calm, organized, and disciplined approachWork closely with the Executive Chef to develop seasonal specials featuring fresh Gulf and imported Mediterranean ingredientsTrain and mentor junior kitchen staff in delicate techniques like crudo, whole fish butchery, and house-made pastasEnsure tight inventory control, ordering accuracy, and minimal waste in a premium product environmentMaintain pristine kitchen cleanliness and full compliance with safety standardsSous Chef Preferred Background & Skills :
Experience in a coastal Mediterranean, seafood-focused, or Italian fine dining kitchen (no red sauce)Knowledge of Italian olive oils, imported cheeses, and regional specialty productsExperience with house-made focaccia, fresh pasta, or whole fish presentationA strong sense of plating aesthetics with a minimalist, clean approachDesire to grow into a Chef de Cuisine or Executive Chef role in the future
