We're looking for Transformer Technician I candidates who are ready to begin or continue their careers in transformer assembly, oil processing, and on-site service for critical energy infrastructure across the U.S. In this hands-on field role, you'll assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of transformers from various OEMs at power plants, substations, and industrial facilities. You'll work in a supportive team environment and have the opportunity to grow within a fast-paced, safety-first organization.
What You'll Do :
- Assemble transformer components such as radiators, bushings, and conservators
- Perform degassing, pressure, and vacuum testing using dehydrator units
- Re-gasket units and fabricate gaskets or O-rings when needed
- Assist with teardown and preparation of transformers for transport or disposal
- Identify and resolve basic wiring and mechanical issues
- Complete assigned tasks and daily work orders accurately and on schedule
- Inspect and operate tools, vehicles, and heavy equipment safely
- Follow all safety protocols and PPE requirements when working near noise, electrical hazards, and at elevated heights
- Support the sales team by reporting project opportunities and potential customer leads
The Experience We're Looking For :
Up to three years of experience in transformer oil processing, service, or assemblyBasic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and online platformsClear and professional communication skills with the ability to follow instructionsSelf-motivated and able to work independently while meeting team objectivesAdditional Requirements :
High school diploma or GED requiredValid driver's license with a clean driving recordWillingness to travel up to 80% across the continental U.S.Ability to pass a DOT physical examMust successfully complete a background check and pre-employment / random drug testsLegal authorization to work in the United StatesAvailability for extended or irregular hours, including weekends and holidaysPhysical capability to lift 50+ lbs, work at heights exceeding 100 feet, operate in confined spaces, and perform duties outdoors in all weather conditionsGood vision, hearing, and English proficiency to ensure safe and effective communication in noisy environmentsBonus Points for :
