About the position :
The Superintendent will be responsible for management of all onsite construction activities including general operations, compliance, logistics, and reporting from Pre-Construction to project Close-Out.
Duties include, but are not limited to :
- Coordinating all job site work
- Effective coordination, management, and scheduling of subcontractors
- Preparing detailed daily progress reports with photographs
- Coordinating and scheduling all required testing and inspections
- Ensuring compliance with stringent Company safety standards for workers, visitors, and the public
- Upholding Company quality and cleanliness standards by adhering to standard operating procedures
- Contributing to the development and improvement of standard operating procedures
- Managing job site security
- Organizing and maintaining job site mobile office
- Working with Project Managers to define scope of work, determine completion percentage, and stay within budgetary limitations
- Participating in owners' meetings to discuss scheduling, progress, costs, logistics, etc.
- Creating and maintaining project schedules
- Understand and read construction plans (blueprints).
- Understand addenda, bulletins, field directives, etc.
- Understand Construction Management software (Procore, Dropbox, etc.)
Requirements for the position :
- Our ideal candidate will be supportive in a team environment, will be proactive in learning and contributing to Company operational procedures, and will demonstrate attention to both quality and timeliness.
- Minimum 7 to 10 years’ experience as a Superintendent in Retail TI / Commercial Industrial / Ground Up Construction.
- Grocery / Big Box / Fuel Station experience preferred with past experience working with KROGER, Walmart, Sam’s Club, CVS & ALDI construction.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook) as well as use of PC & iPad in general.
- Leadership and motivational skills
- Extreme attention to detail and quality control.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong organization skills
- Able to work outside year round in all weather conditions
- Available to work extended hours as required by project schedules, weather conditions, or urgent circumstances
- Motor vehicle driving record that is consistent with Company and insurance carrier standards and policies. Divers license must be valid and current with no suspension at the time of hire.
- Ability to work nights preferred but not required for all open positions as Superintendent.
- Ability to work in all licenses states for weeks to months at a time (depending on assignment). Areas of travel include : Arizona, California, Idaho, Hawaii, Nevada, Oregon, Texas, Utah and Washington.

- Starting salary : $90,000.00 and up based on experience levels.
