Our technology efficiently manages the real-time assignment of Runners to Favors, facilitates communication between customers, Runners, and support, keeps thousands of customer and Runner mobile applications in sync, and more.

As a Principal Software Engineer at Favor you will be responsible for all phases of development, testing, and deployment of our applications.

What you\'ll do

• Champion best practices and scalable architectural patterns, enabling engineers to drive adoption across the org for a maintainable and reliable codebase.
• Lead and drive large-scale technical initiatives, balancing short-term practical needs with long-term architectural vision while securing buy-in from engineers and leadership.
• Eliminate barriers to scale through technology and process and provide building blocks of world-class applications and services.
• Influence across disciplines, cross-functional teams, and leadership, effectively bridging technical and business considerations.
• Serve as a mentor and technical leader, fostering growth in engineers and raising the overall technical bar through coaching and shared expertise.

Where you\'ll work : This role can be hybrid or remote, depending on the team member's location in Texas. If you live in Austin, Texas, we ask that you work from home roughly three days per week and work at our HQ for the remaining work days. If you live in a different city in Texas, you will primarily work from home, with the opportunity to travel to Austin for company-wide events.
