A leading independent distributor of mechanical components is seeking a Credit & Collections Specialist with strong organizational, decision making, and communication skills to join our Credit team.

Credit & Collection Specialist Responsibilities :

• Collect and maintain receivables for an assigned account base.
• Review and release / hold orders for assigned account base, assessing credit limits, account delinquency, and payment trends.
• Maintain established AR targets; collect and resolve 90-day delinquency.
• Work closely and establish a strong rapport with sales.
• Entry of all information into Credit & Collections database in a timely manner.
• Establish credit lines, utilizing DNB to analyze credit and risk scores as needed.
• Generate AR reports to effectively manage account base; provide to management as requested.
• Resolve disputes through effective problem solving; strong critical thinking skills are a must.
• Interact with multiple internal departments.
• Strong, proactive team player focused on assisting and supporting peers and management.
