Responsibilities
- Designing low phase noise oscillators, frequency sources, synthesizers, RF / microwave building blocks (amplifiers, detectors, mixers, couplers, filters, up / down conversion), integrated microwave assemblies, and subsystems.
- Developing next generation RF / microwave and electronic solutions for aerospace, space, defense, test & measurement, scientific, and quantum computing applications.
- Working with customers to understand requirements and translating them into product design and performance specifications.
- Collaborating with program managers, electrical, RF / microwave, mechanical, software / firmware, test, manufacturing engineers, suppliers, production and quality teams to meet requirements, timelines, and budgets.
- Testing, debugging, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective action.
- Developing and documenting procedures to ensure compliance with standards.
- Staying current with RF / microwave and electronics industry trends and breakthroughs.
- Managing projects to schedule and cost.
Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent; Masters degree preferred.Minimum of 10+ years of RF / Electronics design and development experience with ability to design with minimal direction.Extensive experience with electronic circuits / schematics.Experience with low phase noise oscillators, frequency sources, and synthesizers.Experience with RF / microwave components, blocks, subsystems, and systems.Experience with RF / electronics test equipment, processes, procedures, testing, and debugging.Experience designing military, aerospace, or space-grade hardware.Experience leading small / focused design teams.EMI / EMC analysis and practices and IPC standards.Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Jira / Confluence.Experience with PCB layouts and requirements / specification management and decomposition.Skills & Qualifications
RF / microwave and oscillator design, development, test and debug.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Self-motivated, multitasking, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure.Collaborative with good teamwork and customer-challenge problem-solving.Ethical standards.Authorized to work in the United States; some roles may require government security clearance.Appreciation for solid requirements documentation, flow-down, and adherence.Ready to Join Quantic Wenzel?
