Overview
Child Serve has an opening for a full-time Information Systems Specialist that will provide direct technical support to Child Serve employees, for resolution of their computer and information system issues.
Location and Schedule
This onsite role can be based out of our Johnston or Coralville locations. Generally standard business hours, M-F, and 24 / 7 accountability resulting in the need for flexible schedule as operational needs present.
Responsibilities
- Computer Hardware Configuration and Maintenance : new computer configuration, software installation, and maintenance of existing workstations. Perform equipment repair and provide technical support to ChildServe offices and employees. Perform preventative maintenance on existing hardware. Help to ensure compliance with software licensing. Maintain accurate inventory of equipment.
- Help Desk : Monitor, manage, and work within the Help Desk system to meet the computer and information systems needs of ChildServe employees. This system is used for receiving trouble tickets, responding to them, and communicating status to users. Responsible for triaging problems quickly, resulting in minimal downtime.
- User Administration and Access Control : Provide user account management and access control support across Active Directory and Azure AD environments. Responsibilities include setting up new users, managing group memberships, unlocking accounts, and administering permissions for Microsoft 365 services such as Exchange, Teams, and SharePoint.
What You\'ll Need
Technical degree (preferred in Computer Science, Management of Information Systems, or similar). Experience or certifications may be considered in place of formal education.At least 2 years direct computer systems support experience.Proficiency with Windows and Windows Server operating systems.Experience supporting Microsoft Office 365 suite of applications.Proficient use of Active Directory, Group Policy, and other Domain tools.Experience troubleshooting computer hardware, printers, and peripherals.Ability to treat information confidentially.Ability to work effectively, accurately and efficiently under the stress of time-bound requests.Routinely must interpret and follow applicable regulations and policies.Ability to communicate effectively in reading, writing and speaking the English language.Preferred Skills
Certifications : CompTIA A+ or ITF+, Microsoft Certified Professional – Server, Azure, O365, etc.Working knowledge of computer management tools such as CMD, PowerShell, Putty, etc.Experience with Virtual Computing platforms, such as VMWare, HyperV.Understanding of ITSM frameworks or ticketing systems.Proficient using Intune, Entra, and other Azure tools.Knowledge of HIPAA Security Standards.Benefits
