As a Security Professional - Industrial Access Control in Harrisonburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Front Desk Security Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will play a key role in welcoming visitors and employees, managing access control, and assisting with badge processes. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist employees, visitors, and vendors at the front desk, maintaining a professional presence at the location.
  • Monitor access to the facility by verifying identification and credentials, and logging visitor information as required by site-specific policies.
  • Provide exceptional customer service while carrying out security-related procedures and responding to inquiries or requests for information.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Monitor security-related systems such as cameras and alarms, and report any unusual activity to the appropriate personnel.
  • Communicate clearly and promptly with site staff, Allied Universal management, and / or emergency responders as needed.
  • Follow site-specific policies and procedures to help to deter unauthorized access and incidents at the location.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of daily activities, incidents, and other security-related matters as required.

    • Minimum Requirements

  • A current Guard Card and / or license is preferred.
  • Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
