AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Water Resources Civil Engineering Intern - Summer 2026 to join our Houston, TX office.

Our Internship Program, Explore, is designed for college students pursuing a degree in a STEM field and provides opportunities to learn what it's like to work in a professional environment and apply what's learned in class to the real-world challenges we face every day.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Learn from professional engineers standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria in carrying out sequence of somewhat diversified tasks requiring the use of analysis, interpretation, and deductive reasoning.
• Assist with projects ranging from flood studies and floodplain modeling and mapping to drainage improvements such as storm drain design and evaluation of structure crossings and water quality studies.
• Provide administrative and operations support.
• Responsible for the compilation of data and the preparation of reports.

QUALIFICATIONS

Basic computer skills required to enter data into spreadsheets or databases.

Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation (preferred)

Expected compensation range is between $25 - $31 hourly depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
