Job description

This is an entry level position into the Project Management career path. This employee may have little to no prior experience working in the construction industry but at a minimum should possess the educational background to support their role in this position. This employee must work under the direction and supervision of a Project Manager or higher. Promotion takes at minimum 6 months of in field training and experience.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Enforce safety standards and policies
  • Thoroughly understand drawings and specifications of project
  • Develop and maintain project documents
  • Understand and utilize the electronic submittal process
  • Develop and maintain submittal logs
  • Effectively review and expedite shop drawings and submittals
  • Project and job setup as directed by PMs
  • Develop and maintain the RFI log and RFI responses
  • Develop, maintain and distribute regularly scheduled meeting minutes
  • Produce drawing and specification logs, maintain and keep updated throughout project
  • Keep As-Built drawings current with issued changes
  • Interact successfully and in a professional manner with Subcontractors and Vendors
  • Assist in acquiring project closeout documentation including O&M manuals, commissioning reports, warranties and As-Built drawings

Professional Requirements

  • College graduate with relevant degree OR experience in the commercial construction operations field and has committed to obtaining a relevant degree
  • Internship with architectural or commercial construction company preferred but not required
  • MS Office Suite, Blue Beam and Adobe Professional efficiency
  • Effective time management skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • High attention to detail, ability to take direction and adhere to high pressure deadlines with ease
  • Professional and represent Organization well
  • Ability to learn, grow, and take initiative to support and ensure success of Leadership and Project Team
  • Minimum 2 years of experience at this level before promotion to Project Management
  • Software and continued training required
  • Travel Requirements

    This position is 100% jobsite located.
