About the Role

The Head of Estimating will oversee all aspects of cost estimation for modular containment system installations. This role requires deep expertise in construction estimating, preferably from a General Contractor or Cost Consultant background, with a strong understanding of data center infrastructure, MEP systems, and modular construction. The ideal candidate will be both strategic and hands-on, capable of building estimating processes, mentoring junior staff, and collaborating with design, engineering, and operations teams.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the development of detailed cost estimates for modular hot aisle containment systems, structural ceiling and liquid cooling solutions from concept through final bid.
• Analyze architectural, mechanical, and electrical drawings to identify scope, risks, and cost impacts.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to gather pricing, labor rates, and material costs.
• Prepares and owns bid packages, RFP responses, and value engineering proposals.
• Develop and maintain historical cost databases and benchmarking tools.
• Support contract negotiations and procurement strategies.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to junior estimators and project engineers.
• Interface with clients, GC partners, and consultants to ensure alignment on scope and pricing.
• Continuously improve estimating tools, templates, and workflows.
