Neurology Account Manager Alzheimer's
The Neurology Account Manager Alzheimer's at GE HealthCare is responsible for driving the commercial success of Vizamyl, a PET amyloid imaging agent used in the diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease. This role focuses on increasing product adoption through strategic territory management, stakeholder engagement, and educational outreach. The Account Manager partners with hospitals, imaging centers, and pharmacy networks to expand access to advanced diagnostic imaging and support clinical decision-making in a competitive market.
Essential responsibilities include developing and executing a multi-faceted territory plan for Vizamyl, positioning Vizamyl as the product of choice in the PET Amyloid Imaging market, identifying and building relationships with top referring prescribers, serving as a trusted advisor to Imaging Centers and Referrers, collaborating with reimbursement market access support teams, working with pharmacy channel partners to meet product delivery goals, understanding and aligning with the goals of GE HealthCare's Neurology team, conducting pre-call planning and in-call questioning to understand customer needs, monitoring territory plan performance and collaborating on next steps, engaging in virtual selling and cold calling to new and existing targets, managing pricing strategy, price negotiation, and contract compliance, forecasting orders and sales for the assigned territory, and representing the company at healthcare conferences and seminars.
Qualifications / requirements include a bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, 5+ years sales experience or relevant experience in a medical, healthcare, technical, pharmaceutical or Life Sciences field, experience selling into hospitals, contracting, and supply chain or relevant clinical experience in a healthcare setting, a proven track record of sales success, developing, organizing and implementing sales plans, meeting and exceeding sales targets, and penetrating new accounts / markets / competitive through proficiency in prospecting, lead qualification, sales and negotiations or relevant experience in a healthcare organization leading successful adoption of new ideas, programs, or initiatives, demonstrated ability to achieve objectives while operating in compliance with regulatory guidelines, demonstrated communication skills, analytical skills and nuclear medicine / PET / pharmaceutical industry acumen, demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders and competing priorities through effective organizational, people, and time management skills, willingness to reside in the territory, and willingness and ability to do 25%+ overnight travel.
Desired characteristics include a desire to work in start-up styled business where the drive to establish and grow markets, prior PET radiopharmaceutical experience preferred, existing relationships with Neurology community, awareness of clinical tools and drive adoption is key to success, ability to work both independently and in a team setting towards meeting established objectives, ability to apply a range of traditional and nontraditional problem-solving techniques to think through and solve complex issues creatively to improve performance and company effectiveness, ability to build rapport and relationships by interacting effectively with employees and external contacts (i.e. MD and office staff) at all levels, demonstrating the awareness of their needs and responding with the appropriate action, excellent verbal and written communication skills, excellent organizational skills, and strong presentation skills.
