Lead Industrial Security Professional
Lumen's Industrial Security organization is seeking a Lead Industrial Security Professional to champion security excellence and operational integrity across all domainspersonnel, physical, information, operations, and systems. In this high-impact leadership role, you'll drive the integration of comprehensive security strategies to support sensitive government contracts, including Public Trust, DoD, and SCI programs.
You'll ensure rigorous compliance with federal regulations and company policies to safeguard proprietary assets, Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), and classified data. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Industrial Security, you'll serve as a strategic advisor and trusted partner across multiple programs, shaping security posture and guiding risk mitigation efforts.
Work location is onsite with flexibility to occasionally work from home
TS clearance with current T5 investigation / CE date and polygraph required
24 / 7 availability for urgent security matters required
Key Responsibilities
Personnel Security
- Manage clearance processing (Public Trust, Collateral, SCI) using DISS, NBIS, and SIMS
- Maintain and report clearance status to Program Management
- Handle incoming / outgoing clearance certifications and access requests
Program Compliance & Documentation
Develop and maintain security procedures in collaboration with program teamsInterpret classification guides and educate staff on applicationConduct self-assessments and support government inspectionsTraining & Briefings
Deliver indoctrination, debriefings, and annual refresher trainingEnsure employees are trained on classification and security policiesSupport Insider Threat and Security Awareness programsIncident Management
Lead investigations related to security infractions and violations and recommend corrective actionsPrepare reports for senior leadership and customer Program Security OfficersSystems & Facility Support
Maintain facility accreditation documentationSupport ATO documentation with Information System Security teamAssist IT with hardware / software installs and troubleshootingMaintain access control and intrusion detection systemsSupport COMSEC responsibilities per contract requirementsWhat We Look For In A Candidate
10+ years of experience in Industrial Security roles supporting classified government programs3+ years serving as point of contact for both customer and internal senior leadership including government officialsActive TS clearance with current T5R / CE and PolygraphBachelor's degree (may be substituted with experience)In-depth background in multiple security domains (Personnel, Physical, Operations, Information, Insider Threat)Experience as Facility Security Officer (FSO) and / or Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO)Deep knowledge of Government policies, Executive Orders, NISPOM and ICDs that describe the policies and procedures for protection of classified information and the application and compliance with those policiesStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage high-pressure situations and complex interpersonal dynamicsProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)Basic understanding of information systems and security documentationForward-thinking mindset with ability to anticipate government / customer changesCompensation
This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors. Location Based Pay Ranges : $108,896 - $145,195
