Construction Superintendent and / or Foreman

Brooklyn based Boutique General Contractor specializing in light commercial construction projects looking for an experienced construction professional who is well organized and possesses a sense of urgency. Commercial experience is preferred. Strong scheduling and supervision are skills essential.

Oversee the activities at construction job sites. Supervise Construction Team Progress / Performance.  Architecture / Engineering background is helpful not mandatory.

Preference to be an experienced lead carpenter willing to perform layouts and framings and have the management skills to coordinate trades in all phases of construction including framing, masonry, etc....

Responsibilities include : Ensuring adherence to state and local codes, arranging for necessary equipment / supplies, keeping construction project costs and deadlines on budget. Must monitor work to be done daily and keep team on timeline.

Ability to get to jobs in NYC

Minimum 10 Years carpentry experience + Project Supervisor, Quality Management. Strong oral and written communication skills. Legal to work in U.S., Valid Driver's License

Responsibilities include :

• Supervision of all subcontractors, vendors and direct labor .
• Layouts
• Coordination of Trades
• Managing materials, ordering and deliveries
• Quality assurance, code and plan compliance.
• Develop and maintain project schedules
• Site safety and record keeping
• Communicate effectively with trades, ownership and design team
• Handling multiple job sites
