Senior Accountant

Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant with strong analytical skills and prior experience in managing the full accounting cycle to join our client's team in Tolleson, AZ. This temp-to-hire opportunity offers the potential to transition into a permanent role with a reputable company. The ideal candidate will bring a solid understanding of accounting principles and expertise with popular software tools such as Great Plains or Sage.

Responsibilities

Prepare monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and cash flow reports.

Maintain general ledger accounts, ensuring accurate and timely entries and reconciliations.

Perform month-end and year-end close processes with precision.

Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including processing invoices and preparing payment schedules.

Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable insights to management.

Ensure compliance with internal controls and applicable accounting standards / regulations.

Assist with audits by preparing necessary documentation and supporting schedules.

Collaborate with internal teams to drive process improvements and operational efficiencies.

Requirements

Requirements

Education : Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Experience : Minimum of 4-6 years of proven accounting experience in a mid to senior-level role.

Software Expertise : Proficiency in Great Plains or Sage is required.

Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.).

Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.

Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
