What You Will Do :

We have an opportunity for a MCL Quality Technical Team Member to be based in Columbus, GA. The schedule for this position is weekday over nights, Mon-Thurs (onsite role).

Mechanical Testing :

Perform daily walk arounds to prior to testing

Receive-in and inspect testing specimens for accuracy

Sort priorities as needed

Operate multiple creep, stress rupture, and tensile mechanical testing machines for Specimen destructive testing

Comply with all training required, including Quality procedures as well as MCL Manuals and Standard Work.

Log testing data in UGA (as needed)

Maintain required log books

Check / validate testing accuracy

Other Responsibilities :

Perform 6s each shift

Engage in process optimization to allow success of production / quality goals while achieving and maintaining cost savings

Complete all training within the expected time given

Qualifications You Must Have :

High School Diploma or GED

Must be willing to work the scheduled shift and may need to train on an alternate shift. Overtime may be required.

Two (2) or more years' experience in a production environment and / or quality.

U.S. Citizenship is required

Familiar with micrometer, calipers, microscopes and other measuring equipment.

Qualifications We Value :

Two to five years' experience in quality / aerospace manufacturing environment.

Technical degree preferred.

Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and quality procedures.

Understanding of internal and external customer requirements with a high attention to detail in resolving findings.

Good organizational skills.
