As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will be responsible for monitoring and patrolling government-related locations, helping to deter security-related incidents. This armed position involves conducting routine patrols, maintaining a strong presence to help create a secure environment, and providing exceptional customer service and communication. You will play a key role in supporting a caring culture by putting people first, working as part of a reliable and innovative team that always acts with integrity to deliver outstanding results.

What You'll Do :

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education

Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams

Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service

Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies and / or emergency response activities as needed.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, taking appropriate security-related actions according to post orders.

Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for any potential security-related issues.

Maintain a visible presence throughout assigned areas to help to deter potential threats and support a secure environment for staff and the public.

Document and report security-related incidents, unusual activities, and / or hazards in a timely and accurate manner.

Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary to address incidents or provide assistance.

Operate communication devices to stay connected with Allied Universal supervisors and other security-related personnel.

Adhere to all applicable regulations and protocols regarding the carrying and use of assigned firearms while on duty.

What We're Looking For :

Availability across various days and shifts

Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments

A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company

Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements :

Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.

Possess a current armed guard card or license as required by state and / or local laws and regulations.

Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and / or baton is preferred.

Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
