Responsibilities
- Oversee the execution of monthly estimates, quarterly NAV, and financial statements
- Prepare internal / external accounting and financial reports and ensure accurate records
- Support various operating transactions in accordance with policies and procedures
- Act as a technical resource for the organization and provide subject matter expertise
- Liaise with other teams and external service providers on accounting and operations
- Assess, document, and implement policies and procedures in critical business areas
- Lead and assist in building a strong and consistent approach to documenting work
- Report increased operational risk trends, inadequate controls, and items being escalated
- Analyze the adequacy of controls and identify and escalate control weaknesses
- Pinpoint significant processes and classes of transactions and perform walkthroughs
Requirements
- 4+ years of accounting experience
- Hedge fund industry background
- Private equity experience is a plus
- Excellent communication skills
- Organized, analytical, detail-oriented
- CPA or parts passed, close to completion
