A confidential, cutting-edge defense technology organization is seeking an experienced and proactive IT Manager to own, develop, and enhance its internal IT infrastructure. This role partners closely with engineering and operations leadership to maintain secure, cloud-based systems and ensure federal compliance for a fast-growing, mission-driven team.

Key Responsibilities

• IT Operations : Manage and maintain all internal systems, cloud tools (Google Workspace, AWS, Slack, Jamf, etc.), and hardware in a Mac-first environment.
• Security & Compliance : Implement and monitor IT security policies to meet federal standards (including CMMC); manage controls and update policies as needed.
• Technical Support : Provide day-to-day internal IT support and troubleshoot issues across a distributed team.
• Tooling & Automation : Oversee software licenses, renewals, and vendor relationships; introduce process automations for efficiency.
• Onboarding & Offboarding : Manage IT onboarding / offboarding for employees, including account access, hardware shipment, and remote MDM deployment.
• Documentation : Maintain and update IT process, asset, and infrastructure documentation.
