Located in the heart of Connecticut in the quintessential New England town of Simsbury, Ensign Bickford has the exciting new role of PCBA Process Engineer, designed to support our Printed Circuit Board Assembly line.

This role directly works with highly complex Aerospace and Defense electronics and offers the unique ability to be a key contributor early in the design phases of electronic circuit boards while being a contributing member to PCBA manufacturing operations. This blend will enhance technical capabilities to continue personal and professional growth in a high performing team. Responsibilities :

The candidate will be responsible for EBAD's PCBA manufacturing line, including but not limited to the following :

• Ensure manufacturing readiness of PCBAs
• Develop standard work and manufacturing process documentation defining the operation of the PCBA equipment
• Train operators to standard work and manufacturing process documentation
• Coordinate design and procurement of tooling, fixtures and work aides for manufacturing of PCBAs
• Develop and implement continuous improvement activities to improve product quality and manufacturing rate
• Interface with a variety of personnel in support of production including technicians, quality engineers, inspectors, planner, program managers, project engineers and design engineers
• Provide input to manufacturability of PCBA designs for new products
• Creates and maintains product structures and routers in IFS Applications, an ERP system
