Job Description

Takeda's Biotherapeutics Process Development focuses on creating and optimizing the manufacturing processes for innovative biologic medicines, including monoclonal antibodies and other therapeutic proteins. BPD includes cell line development, upstream cell culture, downstream purification, in-process analytics, pilot labs to facilitate scale up and transfer, and technology development teams, working collaboratively to deliver Takeda’s novel therapeutics.

As a Co-op in the Upstream Pilot Lab, you will learn about bioreactor scale-up and lead kLa studies to characterize large-scale bioreactors in the Pilot Lab. You will gain hands‑on experience working with large-scale bioreactors (50L – 1000L) and develop lab skills, including sampling and setting up bioreactors and working with an auto sampling system.

How You Will Contribute

As an Upstream Pilot Lab Co-op you will have the opportunity to…

• Work as a member of the Upstream Pilot Lab team for a period of approximately 6 months gaining hands‑on experience working with large‑scale bioreactors
• Collect and analyse kLa data from large‑scale bioreactors
• Learn about bioreactor scale‑up strategies
• Establish best practices for bioreactor sampling automation
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with engineers on the upstream team to deliver project goals

U.S. Hourly Wage Range :

$2 1 .00 - $ 46 .00

The estimated hourly range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual hourly wage offered will depend on the candidate’s school year / level to be entered following completion of internship . The actual hourly wage offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location .
