Job Description Summary

The Traveling Project Executive is responsible for providing strategic leadership, oversight, and management for large-scale, complex construction projects. This role ensures the successful execution of projects by collaborating with project managers, field leadership, and clients to meet organizational goals. The Project Executive will focus on developing and mentoring field leadership, ensuring operational efficiency, and fostering strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. This role requires the flexibility to travel throughout the U.S., accompanied by a competitive travel package.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Facilitates and builds relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Oversees the project team by supporting, empowering, and providing feedback throughout the duration of the project.
  • Creates and communicates the project culture and goals.
  • Reports the project health to Sr. level stakeholders.
  • Has ultimate responsibility for the project and 'owns' the project throughout the life.
  • Oversee the development of the Project from inception through project closeout.
  • Authorizes expenditure levels at high level
  • Authorizes or rejects proposed changes to cost or timescale beyond tolerance levels.
  • Ensures risks and issues are being tracked and mitigated or resolved

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 12+ years of experience in construction operations, with a proven track record of managing large, complex projects.
  • Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the electrical industry.
  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, production methods, and the coordination of manpower and resources.
  • Able to develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize and accomplish required tasks.
  • Effectively communicates verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to understand the scope of the contract documents and the scope of the electrical work to be performed.
  • Willingness and ability to train and educate assigned subordinates.
  • Must be willing to travel for all project needs.
  • Physical Requirements
  • This position operates at an industrial job site and is exposed to moving mechanical parts, vibration, and noise, possibly requiring closed toed shoes, as well as occasional use of a hard hat and eye protection.
  • This position also operates in a professional construction office environment. This role routinely uses requires the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, filing cabinets, photocopiers and fax machines.
  • Employees are frequently required to sit, and occasionally required to kneel, reach, stoop, crouch or crawl.
  • This position requires the ability to lift files, open file cabinets, and bend or stand as necessary.
  • This position may occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.

    $140,000.00 - $180,000.00

    Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only. In addition to base compensation, Hunt Electric offers a robust benefits plan.
