Role Description

Server Lab Technician (Assistant II - Lab Support) at UST. You will work with engineers across firmware, hardware, and systems teams to debug and resolve platform issues.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, configure, and test server hardware platforms for bring-up.
• Install and configure operating systems (Linux, Windows, VMware) and drivers.
• Perform BIOS, CPLD, firmware, VR, and BMC installation / flashing, including chipset driver updates.
• Connect systems to network environments using DHCP / Static IP configurations.
• Receive and investigate hardware / software issues reported by engineering teams.
• Develop and implement debug tools and procedures to accelerate issue resolution.
• Perform root cause analysis of hardware / software failures and document findings.
• Maintain detailed documentation of hardware / software configurations, debug activities, and results.
• Train and mentor new engineers on debug procedures, tools, and platform setup.
• Support customers by troubleshooting and resolving platform-level issues.
• Stay current on emerging hardware, firmware, and software technologies.

What You Need

Compensation & Location

Role Location : California

Compensation Range : $38,000-$57,000
