Senior Project Developer
Location : Midwest, with easy access to Illinois preferred
Role Overview : As a Senior Project Developer, you will play a pivotal role in this organization's utility scale project development.
Your primary responsibilities will include leading project development efforts, managing stakeholders, and overseeing the zoning process.
This role requires a seasoned professional with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, preferably closer to 10, along with demonstrated success in navigating zoning processes for utility-scale projects.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead the development of utility-scale renewable energy projects, with a focus on solar.
- Manage and mentor a team of developers, providing guidance and support.
- Coordinate with various stakeholders including landowners, regulatory agencies, and internal teams to ensure project success.
- Utilize full-stack development skills to address technical challenges throughout the project lifecycle.
- Drive project timelines and budgets to meet established goals.
Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Engineering, Environmental Science, etc.).
- 5+ years of experience in renewable energy project development, with a preference for utility-scale solar.
- Proven track record of successfully navigating zoning processes.
- Experience in people management or mentorship.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
Compensation :
- Base Salary : Approximately $160,000
- Bonus : Approximately 40%
- Equity Plan Participation : Yes
