About The Position

Job Title : Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse

License : Florida State or compact license required at the time of submission

Certifications : ACLS, NRP, FHM required. BLS, AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced preferred.

Must-Have : EPIC experience required

Description :

Position and specialty focus on labor and delivery nursing.

Ratios are 1 : 2 for patient care.

First-time travelers are accepted.

Weekend requirements include every other weekend or a total of six weekend shifts per six-week period, as determined by unit needs.

On-call duty is required as needed.

Clinicians may float to meet facility needs.

Block scheduling accommodations depend on unit needs and require manager approval.

References must come from authority figures within the last year.

Flu vaccine is required between October 31 and March 31, with medical or religious exemptions only.

COVID-19 vaccine is required with medical or religious exemptions allowed.

The unit cares for laboring patients, including high-risk inductions and special procedures.

Skills expected include assistance with high-risk delivery, circulating for C-sections, and administering medication drips.

The facility has Level 2 NICU capabilities.

Interdisciplinary support services are available as needed.

This position requires a commitment to ensuring high-quality patient care.

Candidates must be prepared for a diverse range of potential issues in the labor and delivery setting.
