JOB DESCRIPTION
The Fleet Support Engineer on the BaseOps team will be actively engaged in the operational uptime of our fleet. The ideal candidate will be a technical expert, adept at collaborating with cross-functional teams, documenting troubleshooting processes, and providing real-time support for daily operations.
Responsibilities :
Serve as the primary point of contact for real-time escalations for fleet issues.Conduct in-depth root cause analysis and implement both interim and permanent corrective actions.Develop and maintain comprehensive troubleshooting guides for technicians.Validate and perform component and vehicle bring-up / functional verification procedures.Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to drive continuous improvement in vehicle performance and reliability.bility to review large data sets to identify systematic issues and inform preventative actionsvailability for night and weekend shifts as needed, with advanced notice provided.Willingness to travel occasionally within the U.S. to support various operational locations.Qualifications :
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in transportation, aerospace, or autonomous vehicles.Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Automotive Engineering.bility to safely troubleshooting low voltage and high voltage systemsProficiency with interpreting electrical schematics, harness diagrams, and state machine diagrams.Experience with debugging Unified Diagnostic Services (UDS) issues.Experience with fundamental network troubleshooting.bility to communicate efficiently and effectively in real time service operation settings.Embraces a holistic problem-solving approach to identifying issues with high-level vehicle functions and drive specific resolution into single components.Self-starter; ability to build relationships across the company.Pass a background check, MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) check, and drug screenMust comply with the Substance Abuse Policy.Preferred Qualifications :
