Job Summary :

Staffs the Information Services Desk in the Medicine and Graduate Library during the evening and / or weekend hours as needed.

Assists library clientele with their circulation, reference and technical needs and assists in resolving any library-related issues.

Job Duties :

• Responds to client requests for directional, basic reference, and technical assistance; trains and assists clients with use of the catalog or subject databases;
• Performs procedures to open / close the information desk and the library facility
• Creates and maintains records of library materials and patrons
• Operates physical service point. Duties include circulating materials and assisting library clientele.
• Participates in maintenance of the library facility and equipment by monitoring the physical environment and equipment, reporting problems, and initiating safety procedures as needed
• Assists with projects to maintain the collections or systems of the library

Work is typically performed in an office environment. Accountable for satisfying all job specific obligations and complying with all organization policies and procedures.
