The Supply Chain Analyst / Planner (Consumer Packaged Goods, CPG) will be responsibilities for finished good supply planning, production capacity planning, and deployment planning.
They will play a critical role in ensuring the plants receive a high-quality capacity and distribution plan on a weekly basis.
This position will focus on attaining or exceeding KPIs like case fill rate for the plant and the extended network. They should be familiar with multiple aspects of supply chain (like demand planning, supply planning, raw material management, warehousing, and transportation) and understand the relationships / interdependencies among the multiple functions.
This role could be remote.
- Develop a high quality, capacity plan every week by factoring in key inputs like demand, inventory, available capacity, safety stock and planned downtime.
- Develop a high-quality deployment / distribution plan for 4-5 interplant lanes balancing inventory and service levels at all locations.
- Review inventory shortages, production attainment misses and address them by collaborating with the plant schedulers and Operations team.
- Plan new items launches.
- Work with the production plants on machine production rates and adjust them quarterly for an accurate capacity utilization snapshot.
- Partner with Raw and pack team to optimize the production schedule.
- Evaluate weekly / daily case fill reports and revise supply plans to address shortages.
- Develop a robust, flexible supply plan for new item launches where demand tends to be volatile.
- Successfully support major promotional drive windows like seasonal SKU’s and secondary placement displays.
- Develop a strong understanding of demand changes and the ability to manage by exception.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in a business / quantitative discipline.
- 3 5 years of experience in supply chain planning (CPG Preferred).
- Experience with Consumer-Packaged Goods.
- The ability to effectively interact, communicate and influence plant and cross functional partnerships.
- Understanding of key raw material lead times, warehousing, and transportation.
- Must be an advanced user of MS Excel.
- Good quantitative and analytical skills.
