Travel Nursing Job Details Assignment Type : Travel RN Contract Location : New Haven, CT 06510 (Connecticut healthcare jobs) Facility Type : Short Term Acute Care, Level I Trauma Center Start Date : November 14, 2025 End Date : February 13, 2026 Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Nights, 12-hour shifts (19 : 00 - 07 : 30) Schedule : 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts per week (block scheduling available) Guaranteed Hours : Yes Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend On-Call : 2 four-hour blocks per 6-week schedule Patient Ratio : 1-2 patients per nurse Orientation : 36 hours Charting : Epic EMR Scrubs : Provided Parking : Available (fee applies) Estimated Weekly Salary : $2,100 - $2,250 per week Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Connecticut RN license required prior to start; pending accepted) Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience (1.5 years accepted with Level I or travel nurse experience) BLS and NRP certifications required ACLS and AWHONN Beginner preferred Experience with Epic EMR charting preferred Ability to work every other weekend and participate in on-call rotation Flu vaccine required (no exemptions) Not accepting local candidates (must live more than 75 miles from facility) 1 professional reference required Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns in a fast-paced clinical setting Assist with high-risk deliveries, C-sections, and postpartum care Monitor fetal heart rates, administer medications, and perform newborn assessments Support breastfeeding, lactation, and patient education for families Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physicians, respiratory therapists, and social workers Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR Participate in rapid response and code teams as needed Comply with hospital policies, infection control, and patient safety standards Apply now to join our healthcare team and take the next step in your travel nursing career in New Haven, Connecticut!
